Who we are

Four Lakes Engraving is a group of local craftspeople in the Madison area who turn ordinary objects into things worth keeping.

We're named for the four lakes that shape this place: Mendota, Monona, Waubesa, and Kegonsa. That name is a reminder of where we come from and who we make things for. Our neighbors. Our community. The people who live and work around the same waters we do.

What started as a handful of folks looking to put their hands to good use has grown into something we take real pride in. We make custom-engraved gifts and merchandise for the moments that deserve to be marked: retirements and weddings, milestones and thank-yous, awards for the teams and people who earned them. Whatever the reason, we treat every piece like it matters, because to someone, it always does.

We believe the best work is done close to home. Every order is engraved by hand and checked by people who care how it turns out. Nothing gets outsourced and nothing gets rushed. When you hold a finished piece, you're holding honest work made by people who are proud to put their name behind it.

We're still early in our story and growing carefully, on our own terms. For now, that means taking every order by phone so we can talk through the details with you directly and give each one the attention it deserves. Online ordering may come down the road. When it does, the work will be made the same way it always has been: by hand, with care, right here at home.
